Hello again and thanks for stoping in for a peek at my creations.....I hope you try this new type of card with a bookmark built right into it, that I did for a challenge over at Mark's Finest Papers. This is such a novel idea and I hope you will try one for yourself.
I used a Goldfinch (canary) stamp that I purchased a few weeks ago. Then 2 weeks ago I found the companion stamp and I almost didn't buy it but now I'm glad I did as it worked out perfectly for the bookmark portion of this card.
I see now that I forgot to put a ribbon at the top for the bookmark but I promise I will...... I noticed it when looking at the photo's that I placed here. I'll just punch a hole at the top and add some nice yellow ribbon to match the Goldfinch.
Here are three photos of the card that I came up with. The side on the right has been perforated so the recipient can tear the bookmark off to use.

This photo is showing the card laying open looking at the back.
This one shows the front.
To make one of these you will need an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of card stock. Measure in along the 8 1/2 in (at the top) and cut at 5 1/2" to form the card base. This will give you a cut piece which is 5 1/2 by 11.
Now place the 11" at the top of your score board and score at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2.
Now you will pierce down the 8 1/2" scored line which will form the 2" bookmark portion. You can place a ruler and pierce or use a piercing pack for accurate measurements.
Now simply decorate.

I hope you like what you see here and will come back again for a visit.
