Spellbinders-Nestie Storage

Good afternoon to all my blogging friends.....it is a wonderful sunny warm day down here....I hope you are having nice weather where you are too.

I have sooo many sets of nesties and of course I always want them to come with me for the winter so space is critical.

I was explaining this to a friend just a few moments ago and I thought it might be a good thing to share with you too.

When you buy a set of nesties they come on a folded cardboard....well I cut the back section off and then I put some double sided tape on the back of the piece that shows the photo of which set it is.... then I place the nesties on this tape the same way they came when you buy them.

Now I can store up to 12 sets in one of those new Stamping Up cases that looks like a clear dvd case. I place a sheet of white paper in and put the type on the edge...such as Ovals, Round, Labels and Shapes to slide in under the covering.

I then cut a piece of black card stock and laid out one of the small dies from each set on this and cut them... then set this black on top of the white and you can number their label # there  so you know which sets are in this case. Now I slide this in under the covering of the case so that I can see all of the sets that are in that case.

This is great for someone with little storage space or for when you travel and take your supplies with you.

Here are some photos so you can see what I mean.

  1. Great idea Carolyn....I will have to look out for a case like that. I have attached magnets I receive from various business to the the spellbinder cardboard and then attached my dies to that. I have found it much easier to remove my spellbinders this way.

  2. Hmm... double sided tape.. never thought of doing that! I've been using the stampin'up! magnet sheet. I cut about a 2" piece and then remove the self adhesive protective cover and stick that inside the cover of the DVD or stamp case... LOVE your idea of keeping them on pieces of card stock, that way I could store more than one in a case... brilliant, now why didn't I think of that?
